Hello, and thank you for showing interest in my 歷史󠄃的󠄃假名遣󠄃ひ/舊󠄂字體 project.

Introduction:
The following document introduces how to input in 歷史󠄃的󠄃假名遣󠄃ひ and 舊󠄂字體 forms,
a few online converters, and several resources introducing the basics of the two.

The IME dictionary add-on that I have made is designed to be used in conjunction with 2 other
歷史󠄃的󠄃假名遣󠄃ひ IME dictionaries (of which I will link below). This IME dictionary covers
more uncommon words/character forms, focusing on ones that require a specialized font to view.

There are; however, a number of character forms that are discernable
on normal fonts that the other IME dictionaries have not included that I have (eg. 内 and 內).
On the other hand, there are some character forms
that require a special font to discern (e.g. the number of dots on the 辶 component being 1 or 2).
Tip: with 舊󠄂字體/old character forms it's always 2!

Notes/annotations:

*All IME dictionaries are designed for the Google Japanese IME.

*While I have done my best to cover as many characters and words possible, this addon dictionary
is only aimed to cover a character's most common words and the character's kun'/on' readings.
If you encounter a word that the IME dictionary does not have, try inputting a more common word
with said character and copy-pasting the appropriate character into your original word.
I apologize for the non-ideal nature of this workaround.

*This version of the IME does not yet properly categorize the entries by noun, verb, etc. Perhaps
in a future version I will get around to doing this, but since it does not significantly affect the inputting
process, I am putting it off for now.

*If you believe there is a word/character whose omission is too egregious not to mention, please
contact me on Discord under the username DASmallWorlds#9999.

Installation (on Windows):

Right click on the A/あ button, open the dictionary tool, press "Tools", and click
"Add as new dictionary".
From here, select the relevant IME dictionary text files you wish to install.

Recommended fonts:

・Asebi Mincho Light (馬酔木明朝): https://metasta.github.io/asebi/
* Note that this font automatically renders all 新字体 as 舊󠄂字體, even without an IME dictionary!
・IPAmj Mincho (IPAmj明朝): https://moji.or.jp/mojikiban/font/
* This font renders characters as-is, therefore is the best font to use with the IME dictionaries.
・I.Ming (I.明體): https://github.com/ichitenfont/I.Ming
* This font is largely similar to the other two, but has a few character variations.

Other IME dictionaries (Mandatory! Without these, your 舊󠄂字體 input will be incomplete!)
・北極三號辭書: https://sites.google.com/site/tidas1974/npiii
・cannadic改: https://osdn.net/projects/alt-cannadic/wiki/FrontPage
* These IME dictionaries provide the bulk of your 假名遣󠄃ひ/舊󠄂字體 entries. Note that they
DO NOT cover the more esoteric forms that mostly require a special font; that's where my IME
dictionary comes in.

Other resources/credit:
・I could not have made this IME-addon dictionary without the use of the following resource,
which "encodes" the characters to render the special font types for the IPAmj Mincho font:

* On Google Chrome, install this add-on and set it to the "Asebi Mincho Light" font (once you've installed it).
Does not touch kana. I have it set to only activate on a "per-site" basis (done in the add-on's settings).
